Vegans–Can someone recommend good books to show step by step how to become a healthy vegan?
Reason I'm asking is because it's hard when you don't know *what* your body needs when you've been eating 'junk' all your life. I can totally go without meat and dairy, but I have a problem with not buying pre-packaged foods and other things because I don't know where to start. I also have never ate raw food continously and need to know all the cooking temps and whatever else goes on with having a wonderful nutritional diet.
I don't want to be malnourished because I'm not getting the right amount of vitamins and whatnot.
One more quesiton–why don't you cook food over a certain degree?? Does it totally wipe out all the nutrients??? Do you get fuller faster on raw veggies???
